OpenAI and Grab have launched GO Forward with AI to support Grab's driver, delivery, and merchant partners in Southeast Asia. The initiative will train 30,000 partners over two years, equipping them with AI skills that can be applied in their work and businesses. Starting in Singapore, the programme will expand to Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines this year, and to Malaysia and Vietnam in 2027.

The programme includes hands-on workshops where participants will use ChatGPT to manage tasks like analyzing sales data, building websites, and forming business plans. OpenAI's Managing Director, International, Oliver Jay, and Grab's Chief Organisational Capability Officer, Ong Chin Yin, attended the Singapore launch with local supporters.

Feedback from Grab's driver-partners in Singapore revealed strong interest in AI, with 50% already using AI tools. The half-day workshops will be held across the region, and GrabAcademy trainers will be trained to extend the programme's reach. This collaboration aims to make AI more accessible and beneficial for Southeast Asia's communities.
