Friday @ SQ Collective The Stage @ 1.30pm The Stage is a short, open-format session where builders and founders share something they are actively working on. A workflow, a technical breakdown, a lesson learned, or just a topic keeping them up at night. The goal is to spark ideas you can try immediately after, during the same afternoon. After the session ends, most people simply open their laptops again and continue working. Title: State of AI Adoption in Legal Industry Speaker Zeng Hanyi Short bio: Hanyi has been a litigation, arbitration and investigations lawyer in Singapore and international law firms. He has also been in-house counsel at an oil and gas firm. He discusses his journey towards being a Fullstack Counsel - and most of all, an Authentically Integrated Lawyer. Session Title and description: Law and justice can be said to have an internal contradiction. Lawyering is very specialized (and protected) knowledge work, yet justice is meant for all. Famously, it is said that justice should not only be done, but should be seen to be done. This session will share one lawyer's evolution with AI, and his mission to be an Authentically Integrated Lawyer. Hanyi will share his thoughts on what he thinks are the potentialities and perils of AI. Application of AI to domains like the law arguably reveal not just the jagged edge of AI-intelligence, but pose unique opportunities and risks to specialized knowledge work. The room will leave with: An appreciation of the potential evolution of the role of lawyering, and generalizable insights for AI integration into knowledge work. About Co-working Fridays Friday is our open co-working day. People come to work on their own projects, take breaks together, and usually stay through the afternoon. It's quiet, focused, and builder- and founder-led. You can arrive anytime from 10AM. Most people show up after lunch and settle in before 1.30pm. Bring your laptop. Grab any open seat. Stay as long as you like. At 1.30pm, we pause work briefly for a shared session called The Stage, then everyone goes back to working.
